MDA stands for the Musclar Dystrophy Association working towards research that leads to Strength, Independence, & Life The final results are in for the Student Council Muscular Dystrophy Charity Fundraiser.  The results are as follows:

1st Place:  McPhail’s Class     $333.00   (Pizza Party)
2nd Place:  Graham’s Class    $135.00   (ICEE Party)
3rd Place:   Nesbitt’s Class      $111.00  (Tootsie Pop Party)
Our final total is $1,069.00.  Thank you so much for your support.

We are supporting the Muscular Dystrophy Society to end Duchenne. Duchenne muscular dystrophy is a genetic disorder characterized by the progressive loss of muscle. It is a multi-systemic condition, affecting many parts of the body.
Please help up put an end to this disorder!

Monetary donations need to be placed in an envelope with your child’s name and teacher’s name on the front.
***All Checks that are written MUST be made out to PPMD or Parent Project MD.  Checks made out to Eastover-Central cannot be accepted.

Here’s what you can do to help children develop stronger reading skills and a love for reading:
*Set the example. Let children see you read.
*Have a collection of books in your home that covers a variety of tastes in books.
*Support our school’s Book Fair. Allow your child to chose their own books.
Please make plans to visit our Book Fair and be involved in shaping your child’s reading habits.
